The Luxembourg police dealt with a range of incidents over the past 24 hours, including a brawl on a bus, numerous noise complaints, and a drug bust.
In Schifflange, police were called on Friday night after four individuals became involved in a physical altercation on a bus. Upon arrival, officers found one person excessively intoxicated and posing a risk to themselves and others. This individual was detained in a holding cell overnight, and a report was filed.
Over the past 24 hours, the police also addressed 19 noise disturbance reports. Most of these incidents were either resolved on-site or had ceased by the time officers arrived.
Additionally, at around 5pm, a police patrol with a drug detection dog conducted a search in a park in Echternach. The dog located two packs of hashish, each weighing 100 grammes, near a suspicious individual. Further investigation at the suspect's home uncovered an additional 123g of hashish. The suspect was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office and appeared before an examining magistrate on Saturday morning.
