Police have launched investigations into two incidents of theft in the capital and in Strassen this week.
A pedestrian walking along Rue de la Vallée in Luxembourg City said he was pushed over by two individuals at around 3.30pm on Thursday, and in the ensuing scuffle had money stolen out of his wallet.
The suspects are said to be two young men aged between 25 and 30. Both were bearded and wore dark clothing. They fled the scene following the crime, while the victim was taken to the hospital for a check-up.
At around 7pm, a man disembarking a bus on Route d'Arlon in Strassen was approached by two strangers who began a conversation with him. All of a sudden, one of the men hit him and grabbed a gold chain from around the victim's neck, before both attackers fled in the direction of Bertrange.
One of the suspects is said to be quite large, while his companion was of a smaller stature. One wore black jogging bottoms and the other wore a black T-shirt and shorts.
