The substance is considered harmful to human health upon contact. A specialised team equipped with appropriate safety gear quickly responded to the incident and established a secure perimeter around the affected area.
The rescue team has in the meantime finished transferring the liquid from the affected lorry to another tank, allowing the station to reopen. According to a CGDIS spokesperson, there was no fire risk and no threat to the population.
