A police patrol in the capital observed a drug handover near the main train station on Thursday, leading to an arrest.
Initially, officers noticed a group of people acting suspiciously around Place de la Gare, before later observing two people participating in an exchange.
The two individuals were inspected by police and the suspected buyer was found in possession of a packet of drugs. The suspected dealer was subjected to a more intensive search, which revealed 14 drug packets. The public prosecutor's office was informed of the incident and ordered the man to undergo a scan. This revealed the suspect had 19 foreign items concealed inside his body.
The suspect was consequently arrested by order of the public prosecutor's office and brought before an investigating judge on Friday morning. He will remain in custody until further notice.
