For the past two weeks, a video filmed in a Luxembourg police station has been circulating online, showing police officers making xenophobic remarks about a colleague.
From the context of the video, it appears that it was filmed at the central police station in Luxembourg City, known as "Lima." This station serves as a hub where field officers can request information.
According to an RTL source, the officer being mocked is a trainee with dual nationality who previously worked for the French police. In the video, he can be heard requesting an identity check over the radio. The following exchange is audible:
Person A: "Dude, what's that?"
Person B: "He's French."
Person A: "I don't give a damn, that prick needs to learn my language."
The video features a lot of laughter and repeated requests for information from the field agent, who speaks Luxembourgish with a French accent.
In a written statement, the police press service confirmed that they are aware of the video, which has been circulating for at least two weeks. The statement acknowledges that officers from the Luxembourg City police station made fun of a colleague and made other inappropriate remarks.

"The police really just hire any fool," is another statement that can be heard in the video. The press office emphasised that such behaviour is entirely against police values and cannot be tolerated.
The police have taken necessary steps and implemented initial measures, including introducing a different division of labour within the station in question.
Both the public prosecutor's office and the Inspectorate General of the Police (IGP) are aware of the video and are investigating the incident. The IGP declined to provide further information when questioned.
