The accident took place on Wednesday afternoon on the A31, between the French communes of Kanfen and Entrange.
According to initial reports, the left lane is currently still blocked, causing persisting slowdowns for those driving towards France. Around 3.30 pm, traffic was backed up for nearly 10 kilometers.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution in the area, where traffic remains heavily disrupted.
