On Tuesday night, police in Esch-sur-Alzette responded to a report of a pedestrian, suspected to be intoxicated, loitering around several parked cars.

A patrol located the individual later on Rue Dicks. The investigation revealed that the person had traversed several streets between Belval station and Esch, including Rue de Belval, Boulevard Prince Henri, Rue C.M. Spoo, Rue du Brill, Rue de l'Industrie, and Rue Dicks. Initial findings indicated that the individual had tampered with the side mirrors of around 40 cars.

Due to their state of intoxication, the individual posed a danger to themselves and to public order, leading to their overnight detention. A penalty notice was issued.

Additionally, on Tuesday evening, shortly before 10pm, another police patrol observed a motorist exiting the A4 motorway and driving the wrong way towards the Raemerich roundabout. The vehicle was stopped on Boulevard Charles de Gaulle. The driver tested positive for alcohol, resulting in the immediate withdrawal of their driving licence and the issuance of a penalty notice.
