In addition to the many operations due to flooding, the emergency services were called after two accidents and two fires.
Two cars collided on the CR147 between Bricherhaff and Canach shortly before 5.30 pm. As a result, two people were injured and were assisted by the emergency services of Luxembourg City, Remich and Canach.
A few minutes later, the emergency services from SaDiff, Pétange and Mondercange were called to rue Emile Mark in Differdange, where a machine had caught fire. No one was injured.
The Luxembourg City emergency services and the Mamer fire brigade were also deployed at around 9.26 pm on the N34 between the Bourmicht and the Bartingen roundabouts after a motorist drove into a traffic sign.
Finally, a car had caught fire on Schlammestee in the direction of Alzingen shortly before 11.00 pm. The emergency services from Luxembourg City and the fire brigade from Weiler-la-Tour were also on site.
