SchifflangeMotorist drives to police station to file complaint, loses licence for drink-driving

On Tuesday evening at around 6.30pm, a motorist in Schifflange drove to the local police station to report damage to their vehicle's bodywork.

While processing the complaint, officers detected a scent of alcohol emanating from the individual. Upon questioning, the driver admitted to having consumed alcohol. Subsequent breathalyser testing revealed a blood alcohol level above the legal limit, resulting in the revocation of their driving licence.

Additionally, on the same Tuesday evening around 10pm, several bystanders contacted the police after witnessing a motorist colliding with parked cars in Dudelange, specifically between Avenue d’Oberkorn and Rue Aloyse Kayser.

Witnesses intervened, confiscating the driver’s keys to prevent further incidents. Upon investigation, police determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, leading to the withdrawal of their driving licence following a positive blood alcohol test.
