
In its latest bulletin, the police have reported several arrests, including those of two burglars.
In the early hours of Monday morning, police received reports of a break-in at a business on Rue Michel Rodange in Differdange. The culprit gained access through the entrance door and stole several items, including the till. Following a search of the area, police were able to apprehend the suspected perpetrator on Rue du Chemin. In addition to the stolen goods, the individual was found carrying drugs and cash, all of which were seized. The person was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office and subsequently appeared before an examining magistrate.
In the late afternoon, a burglar targeted a home on Route d’Arlon in Strassen. However, the culprit was caught by the resident, who restrained them until police arrived. Officers returned the stolen objects – including a key and cash – to their rightful owner. The suspect was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office and subsequently appeared before an examining magistrate.
On the same day, a pedestrian walking through a park on Rue Saint-Quirin in Luxembourg City had their necklace ripped from their neck. While an immediate search for the suspect was unsuccessful, officers were able to apprehend the presumed culprit later in the surrounding area. Further investigations revealed that the same person was also behind a theft at a shop in the Gare neighbourhood. The individual was found carrying cash, which was seized. They were arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office and subsequently appeared before an examining magistrate.
