As the Emile Hammerel Bridge over the Bettembourg train station is getting revamped, the municipality decided to provide an alternative route without compromising on aesthetic appeal.
To make sure that the alternative passageway is not an eyesore, the municipality has undertaken efforts to make the passage under the train station visually pleasing. To achieve this goal, they enlisted the expertise of the artistic duo The Sanctobin Brothers. This initiative represents the second phase of efforts to enhance the aesthetics of the passage. Last year, a group of artists was already tasked to add some colours to the walls within the passage.
The two brothers have always been passionate about graffiti art and have managed to integrate this creative pursuit into their careers in the educational sector over the years. During the Easter holidays, they joined forces with a small group of people to embellish three entrances and exits with colourful graffiti.
While graffiti is nothing new in Bettembourg, the municipality remains committed to nurturing artistic expression. Looking ahead, they plan to sustain their support for graffiti projects, provided that enthusiastic individuals are ready to contribute their talents.
