Police patrols were called out to burglaries in Wiltz and Cessange overnight from Thursday to Friday.

Shortly before 10pm on Thursday night, intruders broke into a residence on rue Ausone, Cessange, taking a number of valuables before fleeing the scene.

In Wiltz, a family home on Rue du Genet was targeted by thieves. The perpetrators gained access to the house and searched through drawers and cupboards, stealing items of jewellery in the process.

Investigations have been launched into both incidents. The Grand Ducal police has a number of tips for residents to protect their homes against burglary on their website.
