A teenager in Belval was attacked by a group of youths on Thursday afternoon and had his phone stolen, police report.

The boy was on Rue Aloyse Meyer at around 5.20pm. Police were alerted to the incident.

Officers located a group of nine teenagers nearby, who were questioned about the attack. They were not carrying the stolen phone. However, they did have a pocket knife and a small quantity of cannabis on their person, which police confiscated.

A complaint was filed against several youths who were thought to be suspects.
