A spokesperson for the judicial authorities confirmed this to our colleagues from RTL.lu upon enquiry.

At this stage, there is no further information on who is at the centre of the investigation or any preliminary suspicions.

The Ministry of Education, however, told RTL that it reported the matter to the public prosecutor's office for a variety of reasons, including the fact that GGM11, a private company owned by Science Center Director Nicolas Didier, does not have a valid business licence.

This company provided services to Science Center, a non-profit association (ASBL) that has received millions in subsidies from the Ministry of Education. Didier's potential conflicts of interest, as well as other issues, such as expired authorisations, were recently revealed in an article by the online magazine Reporter.lu.

The Ministry of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises confirmed to RTL that GGM11 has not had a valid business licence since August 2022.
