According to the latest report from the Ministry of Health, Covid infections dropped over the last week, while influenza is on the rise.

In the week of 13-19 March, coronavirus cases dropped by 1%, from 1,784 to 1,767. 56.2% of these cases were reinfections for people who have had the virus at least once.

17 people were hospitalised with coronavirus, with no one currently in intensive care. Two deaths were reported as a result of a Covid infection over the last week. On average, patients receiving hospital treatment for the virus are around 68 years old.

Flu cases, however, are on the rise, with an increase of 34% recorded over the past week. 532 cases of flu were reported to the Ministry, with the type B virus remaining dominant.
