The alert calls for special vigilance in the south of Luxembourg between 5pm on Saturday and midnight on Sunday.
Heavy rain could cause localised flooding and flood damage, Meteolux says.
The alert applies to the Alzette, Sûre, Syre, and Chiers valleys, but not to the Moselle.

On the Alzette and its tributaries (especially in the west of the country), the flood ‘pre-alert’ level will be reached or exceeded during the night on Sunday. Reaching the ‘alert’ is unlikely.
On the lower Sûre, the maximum level is expected in Diekirch (440-460 cm) and in Bollendorf (350-370 cm) on Sunday afternoon. Here the status ‘vigilance’ remains.
