The Ministry of Health and the Federation of Luxembourgish Hospitals (FHL) issued a joint statement to announce that the recent decreases in Covid-19 infections has allowed hospitals to return to 'Phase 2' of the crisis management plan.
The statement notes that both the number of Covid patients in regular care and those in intensive care continue to decrease, allowing hospitals to take a step back in their crisis management programme from 'Phase 3' to 'Phase 2'.
The statement further highlights that patients who are hospitalised with one issue but simultaneously carry the coronavirus pose the greatest threat to the proper functioning of hospitals. The institutions thus continue to monitor the situation over coming weeks to ensure that they continue to operate as needed.
