The Chamber of Deputies passed the law on Thursday afternoon. The government coalition, CSV and Pirate Party all voted in favour of the bill, while the adr and Déi Lénk abstained.
Roughly summarised, the support is as follows:
Recovery aid is set at €1,250 per employee and €250 per employee in partial unemployment for companies which, due to the pandemic, have seen their revenues decrease by at least 25% compared to 2019.
Other aid is targeted at businesses in the Horesca, tourism, events, as well as culture and entertainment sector. Businesses must have seen their revenues decrease by at least 40%, in which case they are eligible to receive full reimbursements for a number of costs, e.g. goods that have been purchased but cannot be stored.
