The Emile Mayrisch hospital centre has taken precautionary measures to curb infections as Luxembourg's coronavirus cases remain high.

According to the CHEM website, the hospital will no longer accommodate visitors as of Friday, in order to protect patients and staff.

The rule affects all three of the CHEM sites in Esch, Niederkorn and Dudelange. Exceptions will be made for the maternity, paediatrics and end of life wards, allowing birth partners for the former and two visitors per patient for the latter.
