The prosecution in Diekirch investigated 69 people, 23 of which were cautioned, while in 46 cases there was insufficient proof, or no infraction was found.

In Luxembourg City, the prosecution identified 12 people suspected of jumping the queue for Covid vaccines. Four of them were cautioned and eight cases were dropped.

“Vaccine queue jumpers” - a reminder

In February it came to light that some of the leading personnel at the Hôpitaux Robert Schuman had received their Covid jab in January, when the vaccine was still reserved for health and care personnel or residents of care homes.

The three men presiding, Jean-Louis Schiltz, Claude Seywert and Michel Würth, rejected all accusations, saying they were “of systematic relevance” for the functioning of the hospital and had followed the guidelines set out by the Health Directorate.

In comparison, the management of other hospitals did not receive their vaccines so early.

Pirate MP Sven Clement had denounced the “queue jumpers” and the courts took on the case, which has now concluded.
