Minister of Health Paulette Lenert confirmed this advice in her response to an urgent parliamentary enquiry by CSV MPs Claude Wiseler and Marc Lies, who had queried whether Luxembourg would follow the example of the German and French authorities on the matter.

The healthcare authorities in both neighbouring countries have spoken out against administering the Moderna jab to young people, as the vaccine carries a small risk of pericarditis (heart inflammation) in the under-30s.
