On Monday, it was revealed that a Covid-19 outbreak had been reported at the “St Elisabeth am Park” retirement home.
According to Cahen, there had been 80 cases so far, including both staff and pensioners. Eight people have died. Currently, there are still 24 cases among residents and 30 among staff members.
2,287 residents of Luxembourg’s retirement or nursing homes have been vaccinated thus far. 640 have already received their second dose.
812 staff members have received the first dose, while 18 have already received the second dose.
Employees have been increasingly willing to receive the vaccine ever since the mobile vaccination teams have made it possible for them to get vaccinated on site, instead of having to visit the vaccination centre.
