The former Quick fast-food restaurant on Place d'Armes in Luxembourg City will make way for Burger King on 5 August.

Burger Brands Luxembourg confirmed that a new Burger King restaurant will open on Place d'Armes in August. It will be the seventh Burger King branch to open in Luxembourg.

The CEO of Burger Brands Luxembourg, Kevin Derycke, explained that Place d'Armes is a strategically valuable location for a new branch as "both the local population and tourists" can be welcomed at the new restaurant. Place d'Armes is "an ideal point of departure to discover Luxembourg City," he added.

The new 195m² restaurant can, in normal times, accommodate 300 people. This number includes 180 customers that can be seated on the large terrace. Burger Brands Luxembourg stressed that various precautionary measures will keep both customers and staff safe. There will for instance be markings on the ground to indicate where customers must stand in order to respect social distancing measures. Tables will be 1.50m apart and are frequently cleaned. Chairs and order terminals will also be disinfected regularly. Antibacterial gel will be freely available for customers. Play areas for children will have to remain closed for the time being. Additional members of staff will make sure that the precautionary measures are respected, Burger Brands Luxembourg said.
