The third of the new care centres opened on Wednesday afternoon in Ettelbruck, following the Rockhal and Luxexpo centres which opened earlier this week.

The advanced healthcare centre opened at 2pm on Wednesday in Ettelbruck's Däichhal. A fourth is expected to open in Grevenmacher's Cultural Centre by Friday, as part of a combined effort to replace medical centres and to relieve pressure on hospitals.

Patients who have undergone a phone consultation with their GP are able to make use of the new centres, as are patients who do not have a prescription.

Ettelbruck mayor Jean-Paul Schaaf applauded those who had dedicated their time and hard work into completing the centre.

The first centre opened on Monday at the Luxexpo in Kirchberg, while the second opened in the Rockhal music venue in Esch-sur-Alzette on Tuesday.
