The 18th edition of the popular event organised by Table ronde Lëtzebuerg managed to attract countless visitors to the scenic Pétrusse river in Luxembourg City.

Last Saturday at 3.00 pm, some 16,000 yellow rubber ducks leisurely swam along the Pétrusse - it was the 18th edition of the annual "Duck Race".

The group of seven "Table Ronde" clubs and their 170 members organise this annual event in order to help children. "We care for kids," their slogan reads.

For €5, participants can send their very own duckling into the race. This fee is then distributed between various charitable causes that help children.

This year's charities were Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde et du Népal, Rokku Mi Rokka and Stiftung Kinderchirurgie Hawassachildone.
