The woman was however not present at her own trial.
In July Beesecure condemned a Facebook comment written under a video: the accused had said the person [in the video] should be stood against a wall and shot.

The video contained an altercation in Differdange. In it, one person standing behind a wall walks up to another who is just sitting there and begins to hit them until other people intervene.

The woman suggested that the aggressor was a refugee, and insinuated that violent non-Luxembourgers should be beaten up and executed. The woman, once called to the police bureau, said she had been hacked, and that while it was currently "in" to say such things, she did not express herself in this way. According to police however, this was not the case.

When the court's president asked how police managed to establish the links to the woman, the officer explain that a selfie containing her car number plate was found on Facebook, in addition to other evidence linking the woman to the account.

The prosecution highlighted the woman's contentions as concerns her guilt in posting the comments. The investigators however were able to draw parallels between the particular way of writing in this message to others. Furthermore, the woman had not handed in any evidence relating to the "hacking incident". In terms of the incitement to hatred, it was obvious that the terminology used was violent in nature, that discrimination against non-nationals was involved, and that the intent to write offensive material was very much present.

The verdict is due on the 23 May.
