Police report that a man was found unresponsive in the swimming pool in Dudelange on Wednesday.
Swimming pool staff pulled the man from the water and immediately began administering first aid. Emergency services and a doctor from the Emergency Medical Assistance Service (SAMU) continued resuscitation efforts before he was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Police were informed on Thursday morning that the man had died in hospital.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.
