During the congress, many discussions took place - but with a clear vision for the future.
During his speech, the newly elected president of the CSJ Alex Donnersbach emphasised that "In the next years, we will have to work, convince and inspire." His speech spoke volumes about how The CSJ (and by extension the CSV) might operate in the future. The party will need to be reinvented to appeal to people of all social classes and the focus will shift onto the younger generation.
Despite questioning their past actions, the CSJ are not talking about a revolution, but rather about an evolution of the political party. "Innovation" was a keyword during the congress. With their new slogan, the CSJ hopes to convey the message that the party stands for ''progress through evolution".
