577 men and women received their diplomas on Sunday morning at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, 55 of whom had performed particularly well.

After having completed their vocational training, the graduates received their certifications of professional competence in areas such as commerce, trade, manufacturing, or hospitality. This certificate is their ticket into the working sphere.

The Chamber of Employees President Nora Back and Director General of the Chamber of Commerce Carlo Thelen both emphasised that the world of work would be subject to rapid change in the future, and as such, continuous training and education was vital and, to that end, should be encouraged.

Thelen further added that there was currently a large dearth of qualified personnel in many sectors, not only in Luxembourg, but worldwide.

Prince Felix, the Chamber of Deputies President Fernand Etgen, Minister of Labour and Employment Dan Kersch and Minister of Education Claude Meisch were all present at the ceremony.
