A diverse set of 16 petitions, including calls for smaller class sizes, free hygiene products, and reduced EV charging costs, are now available for signatures on the Chamber of Deputies' website.

As of Friday, 16 new petitions are available for public signatures on the official website of Luxembourg’s Chamber of Deputies. Covering a wide range of topics, these petitions address issues from education and environmental policies to social welfare and transportation.

Among the proposals, one petitioner advocates for limiting school class sizes to a maximum of 24 students. Another petition calls for reducing the costs associated with charging electric vehicles.

Social welfare is also a key focus, with one petitioner demanding that meal vouchers be restricted to individuals who are employed. Meanwhile, another proposal seeks to make condoms and menstrual hygiene products freely available.

Transportation-related petitions include a call for mandatory practical driving courses every ten years to maintain driving licences, as well as a demand to ban night flights.

Additionally, one petitioner proposes allowing hotels or campsites to be registered as official places of residence.

For these petitions, the current signature threshold of 4,500 remains in place to trigger a public debate in the Chamber of Deputies. If approved by the Chamber plenary, this threshold will increase to 5,500 signatures starting on 15 March.

All petitions are accessible on the official petition platform of the Chamber of Deputies.
