The men and women who provided first aid to those injured in the explosion were invited to an audience at the Grand Ducal palace.
The audience for the soldiers who provided first aid to their wounded colleagues after the Waldhof explosion took place on 1 March at the palace. Grand Duke Henri and General Alain Duschène met with the soldiers.
Aside from providing first aid to their colleagues, the invited soldiers had also prepared their colleagues' evacuation by the emergency services.
Bomb disposal experts Luc Derneden and Mike van den Berg died in the blast on 14 February. One sergeant remains in hospital with severe injuries.
