Ikea Arlon will mark its 20th anniversary on 17 May with a one-day, 15% discount across its entire range, celebrating two decades of cross-border loyalty from Belgian and Luxembourgish shoppers.

Ikea Arlon, every Luxembourger's favourite cross-border furniture store, is set to celebrate two decades of operations on 17 May, offering all customers a 15% discount on its entire range for the day – a gesture to thank its loyal customer base from both Belgium and Luxembourg.

The discount applies to all items purchased in-store and is available to all visitors for one day only.

In a press release, the furniture store says it continues to invest into its systems and network. In early 2024, Ikea Arlon opened a new logistics extension, making it the only Belgian branch with a fully integrated system for online orders.

The centre and its 340 employees processed over 21,000 orders last year alone. To further improve convenience, 42 pickup lockers were installed in the car park, allowing customers to collect purchases around the clock.

Ikea Arlon is one of the region's major retail destinations. Now spanning 35,000 square metres, it features a 380-seat restaurant alongside its updated store.

In 2024, over 327,000 meals were served, while the humble hot dog remains a firm favourite, with more than 237,000 sold.

Since opening in 2004, the store has become a familiar stop for shoppers on both sides of the border. In 2024, nearly 55% of visitors came from the Grand Duchy.

During the pandemic, RTL Today spoke to Welsh manager Chris Burman, putting a face to the beloved furniture store, as it was undergoing major renovation.
