Travel the world without leaving Luxembourg at the Bazar International, a three-day celebration of culture and food. Nearly 60 colourful country stands offer delicious international cuisine, refreshing drinks, and unique non-food items – from handmade jewellery and clothing to Christmas decorations – all representing the richness of their countries. Over 1,000 volunteers take part. The best part? All the money goes to charity.
2. Hear world music acts in Echternach
What: Salsa, Balkan and Portuguese music

The Echter'World Festival returns to Echternach, transforming the town into a vibrant meeting point of global sounds and cultures. Across one colourful weekend, the stage is shared by Alberto Caicedo, Divanhana, and Paulo Gonzo, big names from the world music scene. If you like being exposed to something new and unexpected, this is the place to be.
3. See The Nutcracker
What: Ballet

Step into a sparkling winter wonderland with The Nutcracker, where Tchaikovsky's timeless score meets Franceconcert's magical choreography. Follow Clara as her little nutcracker toy springs to life, battles mischievous mice, and transforms into a charming prince – whisking her away to a fairytale kingdom filled with wonder.

4. Find gifts at St George’s Christmas Fayre
What: 30 stalls
Where: St George’s International School, 11 rue des Peupliers, Hamm

With their upcoming Christmas Fayre, St George's International School promises a festive day filled with activities, crafts, and seasonal treats for all ages.
Visitors can explore more than 30 stalls, where they will find handmade Christmas cards, jewellery, artwork, and crafts. Families will also be able to take part in creative workshops such as candle making, wreath making, and cookie decorating. More details in our article.
5. Visit Luxembourg Art Week
What: Contemporary art

Over the past 10 years, Luxembourg Art Week has established itself as the Grand Duchy’s leading contemporary art fair. It welcomes thousands of visitors and dozens of exhibitors, as well as workshops and curated art walks. Buy or just look, everyone's welcome.

6. Explore rainy days festival
What: Contemporary/explorative festival

Is today’s music overly intellectual? The 2025 festival rainy days grabs this cliché by the throat, choosing "bodies" as its theme, as physicality has always interested and inspired the arts. The multitude of approaches to the body and bodies is reflected in the festival’s programme, once again designed for diehard fans of contemporary music and those who are simply curious alike, offering something for almost all age groups.
7. See The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
What: Morning cinema classic
Where: Théâtre des Capucins, 9 Pl. du Théâtre, 2613 Luxembourg

A bounty hunting expedition brings two men together in an uncomfortable alliance while looking for buried treasure. They also battle with a wanted outlaw who wants to settle an old score with them. Directed by Sergio Leone, starring Clint Eastwood, with music by Ennio Morricone.
