Every year on 17 March, the world turns green for St Patrick’s Day – and Luxembourg is no exception.

From lively Irish pubs and pub crawls to traditional music and céilí dancing, the Grand Duchy offers plenty of ways to celebrate Ireland’s saint.

Pub Crawl

This year, Supermiro is organising a pub crawl on 14 March to kick off the weekend ahead of St Patrick’s Day.

The night begins at the all-time favourite Tube Bar at 8pm, before heading to SO Slightly Off, Rocas Bar, and Bar:Bar. If you still have the energy to keep going, the final stop will be Apoteca, where you can dance the night away to an exceptional set of Irish traditional songs and tunes.

Grab your discounted early bird ticket here, or buy one on-site (if available). Be quick though – the event is limited to just 80 people!

The ticket gets you exclusive drinks at every bar, and a free club entrance before 12.30am.

Pubs

There are also many pubs that are planning special nights for St Patrick’s Day.

At Shamrock, one of Luxembourg’s best-known Irish pubs on Boulevard Royal, the celebrations usually include Irish music, themed decorations, and plenty of Guinness to keep the festive spirit going late into the night.

The Pyg, located in the Clausen nightlife district, is expected to host a packed crowd with DJs, drinks specials and a lively party atmosphere.

Finally, Scott’s Pub also offers a more relaxed but equally festive setting where people can enjoy drinks, Irish music, and the St Patrick’s Day atmosphere by the river in the lower city.

So dress in green, bring your best vibes, and get ready for a fantastic night!

Zeltik

Zeltik is Luxembourg’s annual Celtic music and culture festival, celebrated each March in Dudelange as part of the city’s St Patrick’s Day festivities.

Taking place from 12 to 15 March, the festival showcases a mix of traditional Celtic sounds and contemporary folk music. Previous editions have featured a diverse lineup of Irish, Scottish, Breton, and fusion musicians, making Zeltik an exciting event for anyone who loves both classic folk traditions and modern Celtic influences.

This year marks Zeltik’s 30th edition, making it truly a special celebration, so makes sure to attend!

You can find tickets for both single days and the entire festival here.

St Patrick’s Day Céil

For a more family-friendly option, the Irish cultural association Comhaltas Luxembourg is hosting its annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Saturday, 14 March in the Centre Cultrurel Cessange.

A kids’ céilí will take place in the afternoon, followed by an adults’ céilí with a live band in the evening. Participants of all experience levels, from beginners to experienced dancers, are welcome!

More information on the event and tickets is available at www.comhaltas.lu.
