1. Celebrate Fête de la Musique

Fête de la Musique is the largest annual free music festival in the country (and in many other places around the world), celebrating all music genres with a plethora of concerts on small and large stages around towns. Various communes have their programmes listed here. From pop-rock to folk, reggae to jazz and from disco to balkan beats, there's something for all tastes. Pop into town, enjoy the summer breeze, an be surprised at every street corner!

2. See comedians on stage at Festrogen 2023
What: Get those laughing muscles activated

Want to start the weekend on a high? You are in for a treat. The first Festrogen 2023 gala show, a women-centric comedy festival, features a hilarious line-up of touring comedians who are ready to make you laugh your socks off: MC Mari Volar will be joined by Luize Beca, Sharon VS, Jess Bauldry and Anshita Koul. 3. Cheer on Ironman runners in Remich

Under the scorching June sun, hundreds of incredible athletes will partake in Ironman 70.3 in the Moselle Valley this weekend. The race includes a 1.9km swim, 90km bike ride and 21km run - participating in itself is already a victory. There is a live broadcast, but it's more fun to cheers on these athletes beside the track, so check out the map here and bring these folks some extra motivation!
4. Visit organic market in Walferdange
What: Local businesses in the spotlight

Dozens of local organic restaurateurs, producers and shops are showcasing their products at the Walfer Biomaart this Saturday. The event only takes place a few times per year, so this is a nice occasion to support your locals, and you'll surely be taking home some nice treats and gifts.

5. Meet the Police
What: Open day

No, not to get arrested. The police is hosting an open day for the whole family to see the different areas of law enforcement. There are demonstrations by various units, exhibitions of vehicles, information booths and workshops (learn about crime scenes!) There's no doubt these things are also meant as a marketing day for recruitment, so whether you're considering a job here or just wanting to take the kids, the event welcomes all.

6. Discover (very rare) orchids around Steinfort
What: Guided walk

Discover all the kinds of orchids that exist around Steinfort, some that are truly rare. Enjoy this guided tour by Thierry Helminger, Nature Museum curator and biologist. The event is free, with the language to be decided during the tour. Registration mandatory.

7. See action-packed play
What: From dance to freestyle football

Luxembourg-based choreographer Jill Crovisier delivers an explosive ode to courage combining dance, video, free-running and freestyle football, a play packed with action and twists. Inspired by the Nepalese word sāhasa, which translates to courage or audacity, Jill Crovisier joins forces with three artists with some impressive choreography.
