The government had brought Wednesday’s government council meeting forward by a day to react to the rise in new infections.

There were further additions to the new Covid law, which is due to last until the end of February 2022, including a return to mask wearing at schools, 2G+ in the hospitality sector and an 11pm curfew for bars, restaurants and clubs.
