A study on the cost of renting a 2-bedroom apartment in major cities around the world suggests that Luxembourg ranks 13th - and likely to climb.
According to a rapport released in 2019 by Deutsche Bank, the most expensive 2-bedroom apartment is found in Hong Kong, where you can expect to pay an average $3,685USD per month. This is followed by San Francisco ($3,631), New York City ($2,909), Zurich ($2,538), and Paris ($2,455).
While Luxembourg isn't included in the Deutsche Bank report, we have data from the same year (2018) provided by atHome, who compiled a report on rental prices in Luxembourg based on data collected through properties listed on their website. They found that the average monthly cost of a 2-bedroom apartment in Luxembourg came to €1,660, or about $1,844 by today's exchange rate.
