Everything you (probably don't) need to know about gromperekichelcher, and then some.
What is it?
Tricky to say five times fast, rather unhealthy, and objectively delicious (also absolutely worth the calories). Gromperekichelcher can be directly translated to 'potato biscuits' or potato pancakes, but when it comes right down to it it's essentially grated potato (and eggs, flour, onion, spices) that's fried and served up with apple compote - unless you're too stingy to spring for it, which you shouldn't be. Live a little.
Why should I know about it?
Because the Schueberfouer is on, and it's what you should be eating when (yes, when - not if) you go. It's a Luxembourgish classic.
Where can I find it?
This traditional Luxembourgish dish makes a guaranteed appearance at local events like the Schueberfouer and the Christmas market - though you'll find it at most local 'events', and it's fairly easy to cook at home.
Anything else I should know?
Some people apparently eat their gromperekichelcher with ketchup. Don't be one of those people.
