Located just 400 metres from the main office of Lultzhausen's youth hostel, visitors can hire a range of water sports equipment and explore the scenic Upper Sûre Lake by canoe, kayak, or  paddleboarding.

Whether you're on your own, or spending time with friends or family, this is an ideal way to experience the lake’s natural beauty and engage in wholesome, healthy fun.

Tuesday, 8 July

If your children are looking for a unique way to connect with Luxembourg’s natural world, why not join a crayfish expedition in the countryside near Junglinster.

Taking place in Godbrange, just 16 kilometres from Luxembourg City, this field activity invites families to get hands-on with local research by helping to capture, measure and identify crayfish – part of a broader effort to assess the state of freshwater species in the country.

The afternoon forms part of the lead-up to the Science-Camp zu Lëlz, but no prior experience is needed.

Whether you're a young scientist in the making or simply curious about Luxembourg’s rivers and streams, it’s an engaging and educational way to spend time outdoors.

Reconnect with nature on the LUGA Valley Tour through Luxembourg City.

As part of LUGA 2025 – Luxembourg Urban Garden, this guided walk explores the Pétrusse and Alzette valleys under the theme Making the Invisible Visible. Discover how water, vegetation, and urban design come together in a bold reimagining of city landscapes. From fortress ruins to innovative green installations, the tour reveals a living space where heritage and sustainability meet.

Young athletes take centre stage at Ironkids in Remich.

Held just hours before the main triathlon event, Ironkids invites children aged 5-17 to experience the thrill of a real competition with a fun and inclusive aquathlon – combining swimming in Remich’s outdoor pool and a run to the nearby finish line. It matters little if you are trying  the sport for the first time, or are a seasoned competitor, it’s all about confidence, community, and enjoyment.

Join the fun at Scouts' Wisefest in Bertrange.

Held in the village garden, this family-friendly weekend celebrates scout spirit with food, campfire vigils, and hands-on activities for all ages. Saturday evening features grilled fare and a traditional pakalu, followed by a vigil and marshmallows around the fire. Sunday offers a full day of food – from suckling pig on a spit to waffles – alongside workshops and games for children.
