Have you ever considered doing a beauty pageant? If you have, good for you. Personally, I have never once, in my entire life, thought about beauty pageants. But by the end of my chat with Natascha, I understood exactly why that world shaped everything that came after it.

Have you heard of Natascha Bintz? If you’re on social media, you probably have. Natascha has something like 34,000 followers on Instagram, and was selected as one of Luxembourg’s “Top 12 Women” by Avantgarde Luxembourg in 2025. I invited her on the show because, as far as I know, Natascha is the only woman in Luxembourg who can actually earn a living as a content creator here. What started out as an episode on her content career trajectory and thoughts about the creator economy here turned into so much more.

Natascha is actually Luxembourgish – as in she was born here and both her parents are Luxembourgish – but she told me straight away that she never felt like she fit in here, even as a child. She called herself “the black sheep” of the family and even of the culture, always wanting to break the mould and having different values and life goals than her peers and neighbours.

She calls herself "a lot." She was the kid who wanted to dance and act and travel while everyone around her was aiming for the safe, stable, government-approved path. She dropped out of school. Her family, she says, was embarrassed. And then she spent her twenties modeling and competing internationally, living in Beirut, Istanbul, and Paris, before Miss Luxembourg called her back to work with them years after she hadn't even won the title.

That's when things get really interesting, because Natascha didn't come home to slow down – she came home to build. She is, by her own account, one of the only people in Luxembourg making full-time content creation work as an actual business, and she's done it almost entirely in French. We got into why: the French brand market has whole departments dedicated to influencer partnerships, while Luxembourg is still catching up. If you're a mompreneur or a creator here trying to figure out how to actually get paid for your platform, she does not sugarcoat what that takes – but I’m not going to give any spoilers away!

We also talked about something she's only recently come to understand about herself: a recent ADHD diagnosis that reframed her whole childhood. The need to be seen, the inability to sit still in a traditional classroom, the compulsion to build something big enough that people finally took her seriously – she connects all of it back in a way that really gives courage to anyone wondering why they’re on the path they’re on.

This is one of those episodes that starts as a career story and ends up being about a lot more – parenting differently because you were raised differently, building your own opportunities when nobody hands them to you, and figuring out, later in life, why you were always wired the way you were.

Give it a listen this week – and if it resonates, send it to another mom who's trying to figure out her own path outside the box. Tune in to this episode of Mom Life in Luxembourg wherever you listen to podcasts, on RTL Radio Sundays at 5, and follow @momlifeinluxembourg for more.
