Moien everyone! It’s October, and that means your favorite parenting podcast, "Mom Life in Luxembourg", is back for another great season! We call it a parenting podcast, but if you’re a longtime listener, you’ll know that we cover so much more than parenting. This season is no exception. In fact, we’re going deeper.

We’re starting off with an interview with a nurse, midwife, menopause expert and fellow expat, Cathy Cribben Pearse to talk about the mental effects of perimenopause and menopause. Symptoms of menopause can start up to ten years before a woman actually goes through menopause, and while most people think the main sign is hot flashes, it actually most commonly starts in your brain. October is Menopause Awareness month, so we’re going to kick off the show with an episode about what the mental effects of perimenopause and menopause are, look at the science behind them (it's not because women are just whiny) and what to do about them.

From Menopause, we’ll move on to the Manosphere, screen time addiction and raising boys in 2026 and beyond. I’m joined by the International School of Luxembourg Lower School Principal, Jon Adams and the Upper School Deputy Principal, Alex Rakochy to talk about what the research shows in regards to how boys are specifically being influenced by short form content, and what we as parents can do about it.

Afterwards, we get into Luxembourg’s very own “Me Too” movement. After the Cornell 7 and the giant march the other week at Hamilius, it’s pretty clear that women around the world and here in Luxembourg don’t feel safe walking around alone, to put it lightly. Something needs to be done about it, but change can only happen if people are brave enough to speak openly about their experiences to raise awareness of the problem. I am grateful to content creator and local star, Sally Wagner, for coming on the show to talk about growing up here and how a lot of this problematic behavior by men has been swept under the rug, gaslit and minimized. If you’re raising girls, or want to educate your boys, this one is pretty mandatory.

Speaking of content creators, Natasha Bintz joins us to talk about the Creator Economy in Luxembourg. Her story is how she never fit the mold in Luxembourg, so she spread her wings and forged her own path. This episode is great for anyone who dreams of a side hustle or making their side hustle their full time hustle.

We’ll also speak to best selling authors about authentic communication in the age of AI, entrepreneurs and raise awareness about rare diseases, and advocate for the special needs community here in Luxembourg. And finally, we have a very special guest. I’m not going to spoil it, but I will give you a hint – it’s a dignitary.

The new season drops Friday, 16 October wherever you get your podcasts, and you will find an article for each episode on RTL Today. You can also tune in to 93.3 or on DAB+ on RTL Today Radio on Sundays at 5. For all updates and exclusive content, follow @momlinfeinluxembourg on Instagram and Facebook.
