Your kids are hungry and you are at a loss where to take them? Let us help you fill those empty tummies!

The days of restaurant critic recommendations and a decent cocktail menu might be fading into oblivion. Instead, it's all kids menus, play areas and fast service to get your brood fed and out.
Luckily, all is not lost! A range of options are on the proverbial table for families in Luxembourg and it doesn't come at a trade off on quality grub, either.

The Grand Duchy offers an eclectic array of places to eat - an inevitability when catering to the tastes of a near 50% expat resident population. Luxembourg boasts more Michelin star restaurants per capita than any other country in Europe. That aside, many places are more geared up for children and families.

Here's a whistle stop tour of child friendly eateries.

Snooze - Belval

Extensive menu of burgers, chicken, loaded fries and more. Toy corner. While there are only a few main menu options for kids, they have more than eight ice-cream sundae combos, cakes and shakes.

Lets face it, kids only want dessert anyway. Brave parents could try the 10 patty burger boasting 1kg of beef. Vegetarian? They've got you covered too.

Restaurant Hotel de la Sûre

Perfect choice for affordable French cuisine in a homely environment. The kids corner is bursting with toys and books. A perfect spot to take the kids for a wander around beautiful Esch-sur-Sûre to work off all that ice-cream!

Pizza Hut Strassen

Speaks the universal language of all things pizza! A go-to for families thanks to the on-site indoor soft-play, relaxed and quick service. You know what you're getting with Pizza Hut. Eat-in or take away with deliveries also being possible in some areas.

Koeppchen - Wormeldange

Even fussy kids will find something on the good number of children's choices. Toys and books inside will occupy the little ones. A range of Luxembourgish and international dishes on offer.

Don't miss the spectacular views of the rolling vineyards.

Brunch

Mama Shelter Kirchberg

All you can eat with a broad assortment on offer. The kids entertainer takes kids away from the tables, allowing parents some respite to eat! You'll find modern decor, films and music playing and of course lovely views from the rooftop.

Takes place every Sunday and usually books out in advance.

Le T’Chiz - Belval

A kids entertainer is present here too. It runs fairly infrequently but when it does run it is Sunday 12-4pm.

NYX Restaurant Belval

A joint initiative launched by NYX and Travelmatkanner, this Sunday brunch offers arts workshops and face painting for kids. This event often features a monthly theme.

La Buvette

Friendly café/ bar in the Rotondes, which offers brunch as well as lunch and dinner. The relaxing ambience allows you to peruse the menu while the kids can roam the children's play area.

The park playground is close by but is not visible from the restaurant. Park Merl is a hive of activity in summer with various activities with the Pavillon being in the heart of the action.

Pavillon Am Brill - Mamer

Here you can find light meals on offer, meat and cheese platters, burgers and a kids menu. Choose between dining inside or on the terrace, which is beside a massive playpark so kids are clearly in sight. What more could you need?

Situated in a golf club, membership is not required to enjoy the restaurant. A more fine dining experience spanning different cuisines affording variety.

Auberge Roudbaach - Préizerdaul

In a fairly remote spot, the establishment offers a menu featuring French fare. Kids can enjoy the green surroundings with slides and swings. It's worth noting, however, that the venue is situated along a busy road.

B13, Am Bureck, La Caravelle, Lentze Parc - Bertrange

Bertrange is in no shortage of venues, as all are in close proximity to one of several play areas.

B13 (modern French) and Am Bureck (Portuguese) are opposite each other in the heart of the village right next to a large sand covered playpark.

Am Bureck boasts a secluded back terrace and garden with a small trampoline and some outdoor toys.

Small aircraft exhibits are viewable from the round glass conservatory style restaurant of La Caravelle.

Lentze Parc is near a playpark, which is unfortunately not visible from the restaurant.
