An unforgettable concert that left audiences wanting more (but not in a bad way!)
This was not the first time the Scottish/Northern Irish rock band Snow Patrol graced Luxembourg with a concert, and this hopefully won't be the last time either!
Despite the band experiencing some technical difficulties during their second song, due to the band's sound board glitching, the brief interruption is likely the last thing concert-goers will remember about the concert at the LuxExpo parking lot in Kirchberg.
With a dazzling sunset in the background, the atmosphere was perfect from the start. Later into the evening, the stage setup changed with the darkening night, creating a mood that complemented the band's musical brilliance.
Snow Patrol already has seven studio albums. After six years, their new album, "The Forest is the Path," will be released in September. The audience got a small preview during the concert on Sunday evening, organised by den Atelier. However, it was mainly the band's older and most well-known songs that captivated and drove the audience wild.
The charming authenticity and infectious laugh of lead singer Gary Lightbody made the audience swoon. The entire band's joy and enthusiasm for their music was contagious and the audience could not help but sing along to every song. The singer's sympathy, positivity, smile, and engaging interactions with the audience were touching. It was clear to anyone watching that the band made music from their heart and soul, visibly enjoying what they do and sharing that joy with the audience.
A concert that whets the appetite for Snow Patrol's next album and leaves audiences with the hope that the band will find their way back to Luxembourg once again. Currently, the band has announced concert dates for next year in Paris and Brussels, among other locations.
