Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are heading back to Luxembourg, and this time they’re bringing one of their most beloved records with them. The trio of Peter Hayes, Robert Levon Been and Leah Shapiro will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their landmark album HOWL, performing material from the record alongside favourites from across their eight-album catalogue.
Formed in San Francisco in 1998, BRMC have spent more than two decades carving out their own shadow-drenched corner of rock. Their blend of garage rock, blues, Americana, shoegaze and dusty psychedelia has produced a long list of fan favourites, but HOWL remains a defining moment. Released in 2005, the album marked a bold shift for the band, embracing acoustic textures, gospel influences and a raw, soulful intensity that quickly made it a cult classic.
Songs like “Shuffle Your Feet,” “Ain’t No Easy Way” and “Weight of the World” showed a band unafraid to strip things back and dig deeper. Two decades later, HOWL continues to resonate with its themes of struggle, faith, doubt and perseverance and hearing it revisited live promises to be a highlight for long-time fans.
Night Beats set the tone as support, bringing their own mix of psych soaked rock and deep groove.
