At 8pm on Today Radio, The Artist Hour celebrates Guns N’ Roses, one of rock’s most enduring and electrifying bands.

As anticipation builds for their upcoming show at Luxexpo Open‑Air on Monday 28 July, the hour offers a deep listen to the music that made them legends – and a preview for those preparing for the live experience.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1985, Guns N' Roses burst onto the scene with a sound that combined the grit of hard rock with the swagger of blues and punk. Their debut album Appetite for Destruction became a global sensation, featuring now-classic tracks like Sweet Child o’ Mine, Welcome to the Jungle and Paradise City. It remains one of the most successful debut records of all time.

The band followed with the ambitious double release Use Your Illusion I and II and later the long-awaited Chinese Democracy. Through every era, their sound has remained raw, loud and unapologetically their own. At the core of it all is frontman Axl Rose, known for his unmistakable voice and commanding stage presence, and guitarist Slash, whose riffs helped define a generation of rock music.

Luxembourg fans will finally get the chance to see Guns N' Roses live when they play Luxexpo Open Air on Sunday 28 July. The show, booked by den Atelier, is one of the biggest rock events of the summer and will also feature Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter as special guests.

Whether you have tickets or not, tonight’s Artist Hour offers an hour of music that shaped rock history and continues to resonate with fans across the world.

The Artist Hour airs at 8pm on Today Radio.
