The Luxembourg musician and politician Pascal Alff – better known as De Pascal vu Wooltz – passed away in an accident on Sunday night.
Pascal Alff's band Weakonstruction announced his passing on Monday morning via social media, and confirmed he had lost his life in a car accident on the A7 on Sunday evening. Alff is survived by friends, band mates, and fans; he was unmarried and had no children.
Born and raised in the northern town of Wiltz, Alff was inspired by bands like The Offspring, Green Day, and NOFX; he played over 100 shows across Luxembourg and musical hubs of neighbouring countries such as Arlon and Berlin.
During the Covid-19 lockdown, Alff partnered with RTL Today to bring a live-streamed concert from his living room to audiences stuck at home.
Beyond music, Alff was an engaged politician, running as a candidate in the 2023 parliamentary elections for the left-wing party Déi Lénk.
On behalf of the entire editorial team, we extend our sincere condolences to Pascal's family, friends, and fans.
