On Friday, April 28, 175 years of the Luxembourg Constitution will be celebrated in Ettelbruck at the Däichhal. Look forward to a great evening with theatrical productions and musical performances!

In 1848, the Chamber of Deputies and the government met in Ettelbruck to draft Luxembourg's first democratic constitution. 175 years later, the City of Ettelbruck and the Chamber of Deputies invite all residents to a lively evening to celebrate the 175th anniversary of said Constitution at the Däichhal.

The first half of the event starts at 5 pm and is expected to be visited by a number of political representatives such as HRH the Grand Duke Henri, the President of the Chamber of Deputies Fernand Etgen, Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and the mayor of the city of Ettelbruck Jean-Paul Schaaf.

This part of the festivities is more on the academical-cultural side, immersing visitors in the historical context of 1848, thanks to the theatrical piece by Lex Gillen and Natalia Sanchez as well as musical productions by Luxembourgish veteran Serge Tonnar, the Conservatory of the North, the Grand-Ducal Philharmonic and many more. Unfortunately, the first part is sold out already.

The second half of the event starts at 8:30 pm and will be a festival-like concert featuring Luxembourgish musicians such as Edsun, De Läb, DJ Nosi and many more. Under the name “Lëtz elo” the festival is supposed to heat up the Däichhal, one of the biggest venues in the North.

Entry for this second part of the celebration is also free and everyone is welcome. So for anyone who's been wanting to visit the (not so far) North, April 28 seems like the perfect occasion to do so!
