Freaky Tales
Get ready to see Pedro Pascal and Ben Mendelsohn like never before in Freaky Tales, Lionsgate’s high-energy action-comedy set to hit theaters April 4.
Directed by Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden (the duo behind Captain Marvel), this '80s-inspired film mixes four interconnected stories into one epic heist, all set against the backdrop of Oakland in 1987. Packed with hip-hop and action movie references, Freaky Tales blends multiple genres and brings together a star-studded cast, including Pascal, Mendelsohn, Jay Ellis, Tom Hanks, and Normani.
The trailer teases a Pulp Fiction-esque narrative full of colorful characters and wild showdowns.
The film follows an eclectic mix of characters—a corrupt cop, an NBA star, a female rap duo, teen punks, neo-Nazis, and more—who collide in a chaotic, action-packed narrative.
Produced by Fleck, Boden, Jelani Johnson, and Poppy Hanks, Freaky Tales promises explosive action, dark humor, and unexpected twists. Executive produced by hip-hop legend Too $hort, the film’s ensemble cast and multi-layered storytelling deliver a thrilling, pulpy ride.

O'Desssa
Sadie Sink stars in O'Dessa, a rock opera from Searchlight Pictures, set to debut on Hulu. In the first trailer, Sink’s character transitions from her farm girl roots to a journey through a cyberpunk, post-apocalyptic city ruled by a sadistic mogul (Murray Bartlett). Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Regina Hall also star in this visually striking musical.

Set to premiere at SXSW on March 8, O'Dessa is written and directed by Geremy Jasper, who also co-wrote the film's music with Jason Binnick.
Sink described her experience making the film as both challenging and empowering, particularly during the intense singing scenes. "Sometimes, it was like, ‘I feel completely fearless right now,'" she shared.
Following its SXSW premiere, O'Dessa will stream on Hulu starting March 13.
Bring Her Back
After the spine-chilling success of Talk to Me, Danny and Michael Philippou, the YouTube duo behind 'RackaRacka,' are back with their second feature, Bring Her Back. Starring Sally Hawkins, the teaser offers little plot but teases a film possibly about resurrection, packed with grief, death, and disturbing imagery.
The eerie overhead shot at the end hints at the unsettling tone to come. Alongside Hawkins, the cast includes Billy Barrat, Sora Wong, and more. Bring Her Back hits cinemas this summer from A24—let’s hope UK audiences get to experience it as soon as US and Australian fans!
