The Wimbledon main draw was revealed on Friday morning, with Luxembourg’s Chris Rodesch handed a tough opening-round clash against Spain’s Pablo Carreno Busta.

Carreno Busta, a former world No. 10 now ranked 93rd, will take on the 23-year-old Rodesch, currently world No. 163, as the grass-court Grand Slam gets underway on Monday.

Should Rodesch pull off an upset in the first round, he could face a daunting second-round meeting with world No. 3 Alexander Zverev. The German opens his campaign against France’s Arthur Rinderknech.

Before the draw was made he stated: "I don’t think I want to play against top players right in the first round. Of course, I want to keep winning here. But hey, I’ll take whatever comes. It’ll just be great fun. I’m going to enjoy it. And we’ll see how it goes."

Despite Rodesch’s hopes, he will face a seasoned professional in Busta, who at 33 will be aiming to make a lasting impact as he approaches the twilight of his career.

Rodesch, who has been making steady progress on the ATP Challenger circuit, will be making his Wimbledon main draw debut.
