A fatal accident was reported on Saturday evening on the CR320 in northern Luxembourg, resulting in the death of a 24-year-old motorcyclist.

The accident happened around 6 pm between Hoscheid and Unterschlinder, where, according to initial findings, the motorcycle slipped off the road in a long left-hand curve, fell into a ditch, and collided with a tree.

Emergency services responded with several fire trucks, an ambulance, police, and a rescue helicopter.

Despite resuscitation attempts, the rider was declared dead at the scene, police confirmed.

Forensic police and the criminal investigation department were called in by order of the prosecutor. An autopsy is planned to clarify the circumstances.

The road was closed to traffic during the intervention.

The victim was of Belgian-Luxembourgish origin.
